The Story:
Ahfif was founded in 2013, when I was in graduate nursing school transitioning from college life to a young professional, and shopping for clothing which fit my lifestyle was becoming very difficult. Like most 24 year olds in professional grad school, I enjoyed the convenience of shopping online, but the agony of clicking through pages at Zara, Urban Outfitters & Gilt screening appropriate lengths of sleeves, pants and fitting was almost as time consuming as sifting through racks at retail stores.

I figured I wasn’t the only one yearning for a multi-brand boutique catering to modest fashion. So I ventured into a year long phase of market research, interviewing retailers, fashion enthusiasts and bloggers – until I found the ingredients that would make up the perfect online boutique: One that would provided free shipping, have no-hassle returns and maintain the intimate boutique experience of exceptional client services. This is how Ahfif came to be the first (and original!) U.S. based independent retailer for modest fashion.
