Big Bear, California, in one word, is awe-inspiring. How can one not be charmed by the feeling of solitude away from the bustle of Southern California, up in the mountains, crisp air, and the right amount of cold and snow, to make you feel like you’ve traveled far from the heat of LA basin? I’m Waffa, Ahfif Communications Intern, and here’s a peek into my weekend getaway at Big Bear.
Rustic door opening up to a backyard of wilderness. Waking up to this view right here left me in awe every morning.
The absolute best part about this trip was my phone was barely needed. Put your phones away and enjoy what’s in front of you.
If you’re worried about layering excessive amounts of clothing, you won’t need it.
My outfit consisted of:
- A white long thick sweater (similar here)
- A pair of black leggings (similar here)
- Bearpaw moccasins
- Olive Green Premium Wool Scarf from Ahfif
This scarf is perfect for women who wear hijab and for women who don’t. Wrapping the scarf around my neck kept me so warm, I didn’t need a coat.
The cabins near Big Bear Lake were absolutely stunning.
The best part of my day was the sunset. Why would you even want to look at your phone when you have this scene?
